mogulfish LLC was incorporated in New York in August 2008. Independently owned and operated, the business was founded by James Maule, an MBA graduate who has over 10 years business and marketing experience. In this time he has worked within the world's two biggest advertising agency groups (Omnicom and Interpublic) and executed hundreds of retail programs for some of the world’s biggest consumer products (Pepsi, Cadbury, Sony).
Equipped with a strong social conscience and steered by an unwavering moral compass, James has refocused his retail marketing abilities into building a company with a mission to level the playing field in local business and ensure the preservation of communities of local stores for years to come.
In a time of economic down-time resulting in reduced consumer spending, mogulfish delivers a cost effective way for local retailers, individually and collectively, to stimulate purchases in their stores. This is achieved through 'the network for locals' - marketing, media and networking services connecting local store owners with local customers.
As a company think of us as an internal marketing department, advertising agency and business consultant, all wrapped into one, specializing in local marketing and retailing and exclusively working for our network of members.
THE MOGULFISH BRAND
The name mogulfish plays on the business metaphor of small fish, which refers to small businesses, and big fish, which refers to large businesses. mogulfish is a name created for small businesses who are defined not by size but by superior business practices. Practices that small businesses will achieve through using our services. The name choice was also due to it’s ability to be established as a recognized brand name that will catch consumers attention and build equity over the years.
